Diane director Kent Jones directs from a screenplay by May December's Samy Burch.
The film follows Dafoe's Ed Saxberger, a postal worker and former poet thrust into the limelight when his works are rediscovered. Enjoying the fame and attention of young artists, Saxberger soon grows to see his long-time friends as vulgar as the film explores themes of artistic legacy and renewal.
Starring alongside Dafoe and Huller are Past Lives' Greta Lee, and Civil War's newcomer Edmund Donovan.
Filming took place inside several properties along Bloomfield Street in Hoboken.
Late Fame is produced by Killer Films' Pamela Koffler, Mason Plotts, and Christine Vachon, Fresh Fish Films' Danny Roberts, H.S. Naji, and Jackie Langelier, Morning Moon Productions' Ethan Lazar, and Taylor Shung.
