BBC drama 'Two Weeks In August' to double Malta for Greece in upcoming shoot

The series is created by 'The Shrink Next Door' writer Catherine Shepherd and produced by Various Artists Limited.

BBC drama 'Two Weeks In August' to double Malta for Greece in upcoming shoot

Production will begin "soon" on Two Weeks In August from Various Artists Limited (I May Destroy You, Such Brave Girls) in Malta and Gozo with local production company Pellikola.

Written and created by The Shrink Next Door's Catherine Shepherd for BBC iPlayer and BBC One, Two Weeks In August is set in Greece and follows a woman named Zoe who goes on holiday with her family and friends to rediscover joy in her life. However, when they become trapped on the island they turn on each other to find out who is to blame.

This Country's Tom George servces as lead director, helming episodes one through four. The Great's Matthew Moore will direct episodes five through eight. 

Catherine Shepherd and Tom George serve as executive producers alongside Various Artists Limited's Roberto Troni and Kat Reynolds, and Jo McClellan for the BBC. Rhonda Smith will produce.

Two Weeks In August is produced in association with, and distributed by ITV Studios.
