The California Film Commission will open up four additional tax credit application windows, in an effort to assist with recent scheduling disruptions caused by the wildfires.
The windows are open for non-independent and independent feature films, and television projects, including new television series.
Applicants are encouraged to start preparing their budget and materials in advance, as a completed and tagged budget is required for the application.
The tax credit applies to a maximum qualified spend of $10 million for independent films and $100 million for non-independent films and television projects.
Recent projects to qualify for tax credits include the Suits spin-off for NBC and Shailene Woodley's Janis Joplin biopic.
