Construction complete on New York City's Borden Studios

Construction has finished on Borden Studios, a new complex based in Long Island City, Queens, New York.

Borden Studios is operated by The MBS Group and serviced by MBS Equipment Company, providing productions with an on-site studio management team and a sizeable inventory of lighting and grip equipment.

Equipment and expendables will be available for delivery, straight to the stage or on-location.

The studio features four sound stages ranging in size from 11,600 to 15,200 square feet, with 40-foot heights to grid and a sound-proof rating of NC-25 with air; movable STC-53-rated walls which allow the four stages to open to two “double sized” spaces; production offices with 18-foot ceilings as well as built-to-suit options available; 41,200 square feet of support space including mill space with electrical capacity, full HVAC and collapsible partitions; parking and more than 7,800 square feet of outdoor space.

Borden Studios occupies the top three floors of the building, with the lower two floors available for industrial use.

The studio is situated one subway stop from midtown Manhattan, and has easy access to various highways, bridges, and tunnels; it is 20 minutes from La Guardia airport and 30 minutes from JFK Airport.
